Apple-Pear Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 Apples - any kind, with peel
  • 2 Pears - with peel
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Sugar to taste

Directions

  1. Core and coarsely chop the fruit.
  2. Put the fruit and water in a Dutch oven and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes or until very soft.
  3. Remove from heat and mash.
  4. Add sugar to taste.
  5. Makes about 2 cups.
