Grilled Pineapple


  • 8 fresh pineapple rings
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Oil for greasing grill grate


  1. Prepare grill for medium-high direct heat.
  2. Dip each pineapple slice into melted butter, then dip in sugar.
  3. Grease grill grate.
  4. Place pineapple on hot grill, turning with tongs, until hot and caramelized, 3-5 minutes per side.
  5. Serve immediately, or cool to room temperature.
  6. Serve with small scoops of ice cream or sorbet, drizzled with caramel sauce or rum.
  7. Serves 4.
