Lion and Tigers and Groceries – Oh My!
Come explore - and experience – everything that makes grocery shopping so much fun at Jungle Jim's International Market! As you enter the parking lot, you’ll go under the gateway and your adventure begins! Watch the animals in the animal pond and listen as you are welcomed to Jungle Jim’s.

Once you come into the main entrance you are entertained by Corn & Butter. (If you don’t see Corn & Butter, don’t worry. Jungle Jim is still working on them. They should be up in our store by fall, 2009). While going down the aisle look to the left for the Campbell’s Soup Guy and to the right for the Boar’s Head 1905 delivery truck. And if you look straight ahead, you’ll find the ‘Big Cheese’, The Cooking School Balcony and The Oscar Event Center (the mural on the far wall was painted by our resident artist, Ted Sarosy). Before turning the corner to Candy, you’ll notice our award-winning bathrooms. Be sure to check them out – they’ll surprise you!

Elvis will greet you in the Candy Department, right past the Coney Island bumper cars, and you’ll recognize the Bakery by the huge cake up on the wall. Our Flying Pig is ‘flying’ over the Meat Department. Continue through produce to see the 40-foot boat labeled “S.S. Minnow.” Cartoon silhouettes of the Gilligan’s Island crew are painted on the windows.

As you enter the International Department, which houses approximately 50,000 products, you’ll see our Asian demo booth to your right and a beach scene above Seafood (pretty snazzy, eh)? While you’re looking around in International, look for animatronics and landmarks to guide you on your way. An authentic rickshaw, gong and Chinese pagoda show you where to find Asia and Pedro will show you where the Hispanic section is. Look for our 1300 hot sauces located under the Fire Truck and the great samples that may be waiting for you at Big Bertha, a large demo booth. Robin Hood looks over the United Kingdom and elephants line the way to India.

Take a stroll in our European Village, which is decorated as if you were in the countries. You can even watch the Jungle Jim’s five-minute movie in the theatre.

The Singing Birds will serenade you as you make your way to the checkouts. But don’t forget to look at all the manikins, kites and carrots in Natural Foods. You’ll know you’re close to the checkouts when you start to shiver (because you’re passing the penguins in Frozen).

Come back often to see the new attractions. At Jungle Jim’s there’s always something new!

Band on the Boat
In the heart of the store mounted on a 40-foot shrimp boat named the S.S. Minnow, shoppers are entertained by the General Mills Big G Cereal Bowl Band. The Band on a Boat, featuring Trix the Rabbit on keyboard, Honey Bee on drums, and Lucky the Leprechaun, lead singer and guitarist, is an assemblage of General Mills cereal characters that move and sing 50's tunes. The band's job is to keep people rockin' while they're shoppin' in the Jungle. So don't be afraid to hum, sing, or even dance along to the groovin' tunes - this singing trio will have you rockin’ while you shop!

The Big Cheese
Come check out the new Big Cheese. The Big Cheese gets its name from, well, being a big piece of cheese! This gigantic piece of provolone is actually in its own aging box - once it finishes aging, it will be cut, packaged and sold at the Jungle. The cheese typically weighs in at over 700 pounds!

Foodie Tram Monorail
Now that we have the Monorail up and running, keep tuned for further updates as to the progress. The latest information says that the monorail ‘could be’ working in time for the Weekend of Fire on August 1 & 2, 2009. In the meantime, you can view some "new" photos we took while "Rotating the Monorail" during the initial "First Run" and during the "First Test Ride" up to The Oscar Event Center "Monorail" Terrace - where we host our popular Cigar Tastings.

The Honey Table
Sandwiched between the Natural Foods and our famous Produce Department, you will find a small but mighty section that we refer to sweetly as the Jungle Jim’s Honey Table. This hive is home to hundreds of varieties of honey and is still not all of the honey that is available throughout the Jungle!

Jungle Scene
First, there are three life-size fiberglass elephants standing in a blue concrete pool in front of a one-story stone facade. Gorilla statues perch on nearby rocks along with towering faux giraffes that look down as you approach the entrance. Among all the Jungle sounds, a voice welcomes you..."Hi, boys and girls! Welcome to Jungle Jim's!" This life-like watering hole oasis is the first attraction to welcome Jungle Jim’s shoppers to the store. A gushing waterfall, mountain gorillas, water-spraying elephants, birds, snakes, and jungle sounds are just a hint at the excitement ahead!

Jungle Theater
Take a seat in the Jungle Jim’s Theater to learn the story behind the store. Follow Jungle Jim on his journey to create a one-of-a-kind shopping Mecca featuring food and fun! Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest
Greetings Noble Foodies and welcome to Sherwood Forest! Popular English foods include: cookies, biscuits, jams and jellies, marmalades, Smarties and Kit-Kats, Cadbury biscuits, teas, coffees, drinks, and more! Jungle Jim's offers a large selection of English frozen foods as well. Made in Greenburg, Ohio, Robin Hood and Sherwood Forest have continued to be one of Jungle Jim's most popular attractions. The mighty English Oak stands 30 feet in the air, with its canopy towering above Jungle Jim's eight huge aisles of English food. Be sure to stand under the tree and look up....you'll be amazed at the amount of Robin Hood's procurements you'll find!

Singing Characters
Entertainment is all part of the fun at Jungle Jim’s. Rock around the clock with Elvis in the Candy Spot, be serenaded by Pedro the Mariachi Man in our authentic Mercado Gigante in the International Groceries section, chirp along with the Birdies in our Pet Department and jam with the Band on the Boat in our Seafood Market!

Campbell's Soup Can Man
Visit one of Jungle Jim's unique attractions - Campy - a giant Campbell's Soup Can, singin' and swingin' over American Groceries Aisle 6! The animatronic Soup Can Man, 5 1/2 feet tall, sits on a 17 foot tall swing set and calls out to the shoppers below.

Port-O-Lets - Award Winning Restrooms
The finest restroom in America is at Jungle Jim’s International Market in Fairfield, Ohio - says the Internet public who cast online ballots in the 6th annual "America’s Best Restroom" contest presented by Cincinnati-based Cintas Corporation, a leading provider of restroom hygiene products and services. At first glance, this Jungle Jim’s restroom might confuse new customers. What appears to be handicapped-sized port-o-lets are actually faux entrances to a hallway, adorned in a jungle motif, leading to an exquisitely decorated 10 stall restroom, complete with flowers, marble, soft green tile, tropical pictures and more.

America's Best Restroom contest attracted nominations from a wide cross-section of businesses, including restaurants, hotels and casinos. Five finalists were selected based on exceptional hygiene, style and open access to the public. Tens of thousands of votes were cast at the program’s web site, which produced the following results:

First Place: Jungle Jim's International Market - Fairfield, OH
Second Place: Catch 31 - Virginia Beach, VA
Third Place: Mix Lounge at Mandalay Bay - Las Vegas, NV
Fourth Place: Vermont Marble Museum - Proctor, VT
Fifth Place: Fandangles - Flushing, MI

Jungle Jim’s received the coveted "America’s Best Restroom" plaque of recognition from Cintas during a special presentation and secured their place in the "America’s Best Restroom Hall of Fame" found at www.bestrestroom.com. "I’m all about putting smiles on people’s faces," said Jungle Jim’s Owner Jim Bonaminio. "People are so tense these days. Those bathrooms just seem to make people laugh and that’s what we’re all about: laughing and having fun."
