» International Beerfest 2010
For one evening each spring, Greater Cincinnati is the center of the Beer Universe. Those of you who live in Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky, or Southeastern Indiana, you probably have heard of Jungle Jim's International Market. And with the addition of an event center, it was only a matter of time before a beerfest would become an annual event at the Jungle. Save the date for 2010 and mark your calendars for Friday, June 18, 2010 and plan to join the brewmasters and diehard beer connesuiers who make the pilgrimage to Jungle Jim's annual "International Beerfest." The annual event is held inside The Oscar Event Center, located adjacent to the Jungle Jim's six and a half acre megastore in Fairfield, Ohio, just north of Cincinnati.
Enjoy hundreds of beers from over 50 breweries from all over the world, including world-class, gourmet, strong beers, craft beers, club beers, microbrews and delicious food inside the beautiful Oscar Event Center. Details on beer brewing and styles are stressed at the event; it's a great way to learn more about both the beers and the thoughts behind the brewing.

» International Beerfest 2009 Wrap Up
Jungle Jim’s International Beer Fest a huge success!
Thanks to every one of the 900 people in attendance this year! Yes, you read it right – 900 people! That’s a huge increase over last year! There are lots of people who went into making this event successful and I don’t want to forget anyone:
» Thanks to all 57 brewers who offered 285 different brews to taste. There were so many varieties and tastes that our palates didn’t know what to expect!
» Thanks to Mike and our friends at Rib City for providing the food; it hit the spot!
» It was great to see Mt. Carmel, BarrelHouse, Warbird and the rest of the local Ohio brewers. We’re glad you were all able to be here! (If any of you are interested in local beers let us know, we’re happy to help you find them).
» And I have to give a special thank you to the most unusual guest we’ve ever had attend a Beer Fest: Brew Dog, who came all the way from Scotland! (No you weren’t hearing things, there really was a dog…)
» Most of all, thanks to everyone who attended the event. What a turn out! I was so happy watching everyone come in and have fun. And the fact that 75% of you went home with a prize was an added pleasure – What a great evening!
Mark your calendars for June 18, 2010 for the 5th Annual Jungle Jim’s International Beer Fest! We’re looking forward to an even better event and seeing you there.

» Weekend of Fire
The "Weekend of Fire" show will be a complete consumer oriented show and those people who love hot sauce will have a big reason to visit Jungle Jim's. The store's hot sauce and other extremely spicy grub selection is second to none with over 1400 different hot sauce selections alone. Hot sauce fan blog sites and messageboards were abuzz about the event last year, listing hotel and other travel information.
The weekend festival, to be held on Aug 1-2, 2009, will feature an array of hot sauce exhibitors, from the biggest of companies to the smallest of basement brewers.
Last year’s attendance more than doubled to almost 5000 people! This year promises to be even better as people are already calling about the ‘close-to-home’ show featuring hundreds of fiery foods: hot sauces, salsas, barbecue sauces, mustards, snacks, ketchups, snacks, and more.
Guaranteed to be a "HOT" time for all!

» Weekend of Fire 2009 Wrap Up
Wow, what a weekend!
The vendors were great! We really need to thank Defcon, not only for putting on the Death Match, but for the time and energy they put into their booth. You’ll have to look at the photos from the event to understand, but Defcon’s booth – and costumes were very unique; it was even hard to look John in the eye…
We were fortunate not only to have the big flames like Defcon, CaJohn, Hot Shots and Porkey’s at the Weekend of Fire, which was awesome; but up-and-coming flames like Marco’s with his Not Yet Famous Salsa which made it into the salsa finals. Confetti Peppers, 5 Generations and Jakk Hammer all made their first appearance this year – and said they’d be back in 2010!
Intensity Academy unexpectedly began a new feature at our show with their Lolly-Lick-A-Thon. Because of Michelle’s great idea to hold the lick-a-thon, which drew guests to the Oscar Event Center lobby to watch, we’re planning more events next year. So for all you vendors out there, here’s your chance to show off your products. Let us know if you have any ideas.
We can’t leave out the Death Match. For all of you who came to the show and didn’t stay for the Match, you really missed out. There are lots of photos on www.weekendoffire.com, so check it out. You won’t want to miss it again!
