Feine Kase (Fine Cheese)

Stroll over to our International Cheese Shoppe to explore over 28 kinds of delectable German cheeses.  It's hard to choose just one. &Nbsp; That's why we asked our cheese shop expert, for help.  Imported Cambozola, a triple-cream Brie with Bleu that rates four stars, there's also imported and Wisconsin-made Beer Kase, Limburger and the very popular Liederkranz.  Robust cheese lovers sing the praises of these surface-ripened aromatic delicacies.  Try Quark - soft, tangy and available in whole milk, reducedfat or non-fat.  Use it like sour cream for making dips, cheesecakes, sauces or for topping baked potatoes.

The Best Wurst

Authentic wursts and sausages are plentiful here!  Germans love to take liverwurst from Boar's Head, cheese, bread and beer on picnics.  Gelbwurst mit parsley is too delicious to pass up!  We also recommend S&W Teawurst (German style, a cross between bologna and liverwurst) with Rouge et Noir's Schloss or Hofineister Rahm spreadable cheese.

A Loaf of Bread, A Stein of Bier Und Thou

Sandwich fixings like these call for Jungle Jim's crusty German breads.  Our Konditorei (bakery) has several hearty, healthy ryes, sauerkraut rye and Olde World Black Forest pumpernickel - all baked from scratch and baked fresh daily!

The Perfect Spread

Germans prefer jamming to buttering their breads.  Shop our European Village for spreads like Maintal's rosehip jam and Landsberg's gooseberry preserves.  Be sure to try Nutella, Europe's popular chocolate hazelnut spread (even bigger than peanut butter in the U.S.).  Our German mustards may catch your eye - as well as your breath!  Lowensenf makes bayerischsusz (Bavarian sweet) and Gundelsheim makes hot, extra-hot or sweet.  Pickled treats include green beans, baby beets, onions and barrel jars of pickles.  Hengstenberg's red cabbage or Gundelsheim kraut are authentic "sides".  Serve with sausages, dumplings and Schweinebraten (roast pork)!

Nur Siisspeisen (Just Desserts)

Try Schlunder's pound cake in Zitronen (lemon), Kirsch (cherry fruit-filled), Kakao und Nuss (chocolate nut).  Light and delectable Bahlsen cookies, available in chocolate, butter leaves or puff pastry pretzels will melt in your mouth!  Germany exports some of the world's finest candy - like exotic Mozart Kuglen, chocolates filled with marzipan praline.
