Dear Friends of the Cooking School,

We enjoyed the spring and summer session at the Cooking School and thank you for your support!

Our fourth annual culinary trip to Emilia-Romagna, Italy, was another entertaining and educational experience for everyone who attended. Don Govoni is the perfect guide for this “off the beaten path” excursion. Gelato University in Bologna was again one of the highlights of the trip and we continue to appreciate this authentic artisan dessert. If you are interested in the 2017 trip, please watch the Winter 2017 brochure for details. Just as a reminder to Don’s fans - he will teach his annual wine and food class in February.

The fall schedule includes a line up of new hands-on classes with exciting menus. Several new instructors round out the brochure with interesting demonstration classes. I think we have something to offer everyone!

As we approach the season of cheer, we are pleased to offer new wine and food pairing classes, along with a beer and food pairing class. A holiday cocktail class will highlight excellent food and drink to bring good cheer. Please leave room in your busy schedules for The Tasting Room with Dave Schmerr. He will introduce you to some very fine wines you can include in your holiday parties.

This fall A Plate Full of Christmas Cookies and Gifts From the Kitchen are returning with new and delicious treats for you to savor and sip. We plan all year for these favorite classes because we know many of you consider them a holiday tradition. We hope you will enjoy the new holiday classes aimed at making the season bright. Don't forget Cooking School gift certificates for the foodies on your holiday list.

We’ll see you in the kitchen!

Bon Appétit,
Leigh Barnhart Ochs - Cooking School Director
