For one evening each spring, Fairfield, Ohio is the center of the Beer Universe.

Those of you who live in Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky or Southeastern Indiana have probably heard of Jungle Jim’s International Market. With the addition of The Oscar Event Center, it was only a matter of time before a Beer Fest would become an annual event at the Jungle.

Save the date for 2010, mark your calendars for Friday, June 18, 2010 and plan to join the brew masters and diehard beer connoisseurs who make the pilgrimage to Jungle Jim’s annual ‘International Beer Fest’. This annual event is held inside The Oscar Event Center, located above Jungle Jim’s six and a half acre megastore in Fairfield, Ohio, just north of Cincinnati.

In 2009, there were 57 breweries from all over the world, including Brew Dog from Scotland, craft beers, home brew clubs, microbrews and delicious food inside the beautiful Oscar Event Center. Details on beer brewing and styles are stressed at the event; Sam Adams even brought samples of the different kinds of hops used in their beers. It’s a great way to learn more about both the beers and the thoughts behind the brewing.

So far each year has been better than the last, with 900 people in attendance in 2009! Tickets are limited to 1,000, so get yours early! This is your opportunity to taste and compare a wide variety of quality craft beers and picnic-style food in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. In addition to the beers and food, there will be cigars on the balcony, door prizes and more!
