Welcome to Jungle Jim's International Market
Often described as an adventure in grocery shopping, your senses will be stretched to the limit with the delectable food samplings to the tantalizing smells emanating from the scratch bakery to the brightly colored food displays to the bustle of carts weaving in and out of the amazing assortment of products. Little did owner and store namesake, Jim Bonaminio know when he started his market that he would take grocery shopping to a new level. Jungle Jim’s has grown over the years from a simple roadside stand to a 300,000-square-foot food extravaganza and tourist destination, offering over 130,000 different items from over 70 countries around the globe.Jungle Jim's International Market is described as a theme park of food. Founded in 1971 by "Jungle" Jim Bonaminio, the store started as a small produce stand and has grown to over 6½ acres of floorspace. Jungle Jim's is notable for one of the largest wine collections in the United States, live seafood tanks, and an in-store cooking school and 1200 person Event Center. Each week, the store is visited by approximately 50,000 shoppers, whom Bonaminio calls "foodies". Many of the specialty foods in the store's Asian and European departments are difficult to find elsewhere in the Greater Cincinnati area, and customers have been known to drive from other cities, and even states, for the store's wide variety of foods.
Jungle Jim's resembles a theme park due to the unusual displays throughout the store. The entry is a jungle itself, with gorillas, giraffes, elephants and monkeys greeting you with the occasional roars and the splashing of a miniature waterfall in the background. Inside are several animatronic displays, such as a lion that sings Elvis Presley songs at regular intervals and a "rock band" composed of General Mills cereal mascots. The miniature storefronts in Jungle Jim's' European section represent the architectural styles of various countries, and the Mexican section is covered by what appears to be the adobe façade and wooden frame of a cantina. Subtle humor is injected into many parts of the store, such as the trashcans once labeled "Jungle Junk," the "Adult Oriented Hot Sauces" section, and the restroom entrances disguised as portable toilets - which by the way, earned Jungle Jim's the "Best Restroom in America" award for 2007.

Jungle Jim's is famous for its produce. With palm trees swaying and monkeys swinging overhead, this is where it all began more than 25 years ago. Shop the one acre "heart" of the store for the finest quality produce at the best prices and unbeatable selection. Produce selections include over 500 different kinds of Organic, Domestic and International produce, including fruits and vegetables from Apples to Zucchini, Arugula to Yucca and everything in between.Visit the Produce Department
Meats
Jungle Jim's offers a full-service old-fashioned Meat Shoppe where you can choose from USDA Choice/Prime meats, specialty cuts, Amish chickens as well as exotic delicacies such as medallions of kangaroo, ostrich, alligator, venison and wild boar. And if you are not sure how to cook unusual cuts of meat, you can sign up for cooking classes.We offer over 22 different types of sausages, which are made fresh in our meat department. These sausages are 10% leaner and less expensive than other sausages. We also offer our own aged, marinated and stuffed meats under the Jungle Jim's Homemade brand.

Seafood
When it comes to seafood, freshness is the key. Our Seafood Department offers fish so exotic an ichthyologist would be impressed. We feature whole fresh fish, hand-cut steaks and fillets, live trout, plus a full line of shellfish and seafood delicacies – live, fresh, smoked, canned, frozen, dried, and schools more.Visit our Biopond and see the live fish that are sold in our Seafood Department. Our International Department features over 48,000 products from over 70 countries. We carry foods from Mexico, South America, Jamaica, the Caribbean, Indonesia (terasi, gula jawa, kecap), Malaysia (Bakuteh), Singapore, Korea, Vietnam, Phillipines, Thailand, Japan, China, India and dozens of other countries.In the European Gourmet Village, you can buy Kosher foods, such as noodles, jellies and jams; buy Greek foods, such as Cabbage rice, lentil soup, chick pea soup, onion soup, garlic sauces, and more; purchase foods from Scandinavia and Holland, such as jams and jellies, sour patch candies, Danish waffle cones, Kristall juices, Swedish fish, crispbread, and more.

Our Delicatessen features a 30-foot Deli case that includes the largest variety of Boar's Head products available within a day's drive of our store.
